Hamburger SV have been handed a boost before the end of the season after Miro Muheim fully rejoined the team training today.

With the finish line in sight, the HSV professionals kicked off the final week of the season on Wednesday afternoon,13 May.

In front of 500 fans at the open session, Muheim partook in a full team training session after recovering from his syndesmosis injury.

The news is also a boost for the Switzerland national team who will play at the World Cup in the USA, Canada and Mexico this summer.

Having missed the last three Bundesliga matches, the 28-year-old could now return to the squad for the season finale.

"He looked good. It would be great if he could play again. It was his first training session; we'll have to see how he fares over the next few days," said assistant coach Loic Fave.

Although, some less positive news also greeted HSV fans as Nicolás Capaldo (back problems) and Robert Glatzel (calf strain) had to sit out.

Alexander Rössing-Lelesiit also suffered a setback in his comeback after a syndesmosis injury, undergoing surgery on Monday, 11 May.
