Musiala’s estimated recovery timeline revealed after horror injury

According to Bild, Jamal Musiala has broken his left fibula and will be out for four to five months.

Bild has revealed details about Jamal Musiala’s injury following the German international’s unfortunate setback in Bayern Munich’s 0-2 quarter-final loss to Paris Saint-Germain at the Club World Cup on Saturday.

According to the German tabloid, Musiala has fractured his left fibula and sustained damage to some ligaments. As a result, Bild estimates that he will likely be sidelined for four to five months.

The 22-year-old was stretchered off following a challenge from PSG goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma towards the end of the first half and was immediately taken to hospital.

Musiala had only just returned from a torn muscle bundle that kept him out for several months.

“It's the second setback in a very short time. He's a player that loves football - it’s his life. It will hit hard, but he's going to get through it and come back stronger. Hopefully, he'll be there to lift trophies with Bayern next season,” said Bayern coach Vincent Kompany in response to the injury.
