Behrens: "We just step on the gas"

Union players were ecstatic after Danilho Doekhi's 97th-minute winning goal, as the capital club reclaimed their advantage atop the Bundesiga standings.
Amidst another electric atmosphere at the Stadion An der Alten Försterei, Union bounced back in league play with a massive late win over Gladbach. Players waxed lyricals about their performance following Sunday's game:

Rani Khedira said, "In my year and a half, I've never seen a game like this here where we completely constricted the opponent."

Goal-scorer Kevin Behrens commented, "Everyone is hot, everyone wants to show the coach that they are there. We have a great mentality."

Adding, "Of course the fans dream of it, but we don't talk about the championship in the dressing room. We just step on the gas."

Looking to secure a spot in the Europa League round of 16, Union will now turn their attention to Thursday's huge match against group leaders Union Saint-Gilloise.
