Germany's Olympics campaign came to an end as they were forced to settle for a 1-1 draw against Ivory Coast earlier today.

As a result, Stefan Kuntz's team finished third in Group D, behind today's opponent and group winners Brazil.

Speaking after the final whistle, Kuntz lamented the lack of options in his squad, but praised his players for their commitment.

"Our options were definitely limited, especially in terms of versatility," said Kuntz, who saw Niklas Dorsch, Ismail Jakobs and Josha Vagnoman pull out of his initial squad.

"But the team committed themselves to the Olympics, really gave their all here and I want to thank them for that. They can be proud of it," added the coach.
