Kicker Report:
Wolfsburg prepare to move on Montpellier fullback

By Peter Weis   @PeterVicey

Amid all the apparently false information floating around with regard to VfL Wolfsburg's search for a new left-back, Thomas Hiete of Germany's Kicker magazine claims to know which player Germany's green company team is truly targeting.

One day after quashing rumors that VfL Wolfsburg's search for a left-back led to Portuguese defender Filipe Relvas, Thomas Hiete of Germany's preeminent footballing publication now claims that reports linking die Autostädter with Spanish youth international Manu Sanchez are also untrue. Hiete notes that the trail now leads to France in an article published on Kicker's website today.

Montpellier's Nicolas Cozza will be available on a free transfer after the season as the 24-year-old sits on an expiring contract. The 24-year-old is free to negotiate a transfer to Germany this offseason during the current window. Hiete writes that such negotiations are ongoing, while also noting that the German Wolves are not averse to bringing Cozza in now.

The French youth international maintains an estimated market worth of €5 million in the latest transfermarkt listings. Cozza has started nearly every league fixture for his club side this season and registered two league goals. Hiete notes that the matter with Cozza could move quickly as an unnamed club might be interested in picking up Wolfsburg's own "dead-weight" fullback, Jerome Roussillon.
