Alonso says Schick is ready for minutes off the bench

At a Friday presser, Bayer 04 Leverkusen gaffer Xabi Alonso hinted that Czech striker Patrik Schick could make his comeback against Dortmund on Sunday.
After persistent problems with groin/abductor issues, Patrick Schick finally appears fit enough to return to Bayer Leverkusen's matchday squad. Bayer trainer Xabi Alonso divulged on Friday that the 27-year-old had made excellent progress in team training. Xabi emphasized that he wished to have another good look at the forward tomorrow.

Schick will obviously not start, but could make an appearance off the bench against Dortmund on Sunday.

"He trained with the team today and feels much better," Alonso noted, "We'll see tomorrow. I don't know how many minutes I think he can play. It's not an exact science."

Xabi also revealed that midfielder Charles Aranguiz will not be available for the weekend fixture. Working the Leverkusen beat for German footballing magazine Kicker, journalist Stephan van Nocks also reports that Germany's red company team should be on the verge of confirming two new incoming transfers soon.

Austrian keeper Patrick Pentz should be unveiled after he passes a medical today. Additionally, Colombia midfielder Gustavo Puerta is supposedly in agreement with the club. The Colombian U20 national team captain's transfer might take a little longer to finalize.
