At least three top-flight Bundesliga sides were linked with Eintracht Braunschweig attacking midfielder Immanuel Pherai this past autumn. A January transfer nevertheless did not materialize. It appears as if those clubs interested in the 21-year-old would prefer to wait until the summer; when €2-million-valued player can be had for about half that amount due to a built-in exit clause in his current contract.

Sky Germany's Marlon Irlbacher currently reports that 1. FC Köln are one of the specific Bundesliga sides with interest in the scorer of seven goals for his 2. Bundesliga club this season. The cathedral city side doesn't have anyone on their current roster who has managed seven goals in the current campaign. Steffen Tigges, Florian Kainz, and Ellyes Skhiri have all only netted five.

Assuming that Köln can avoid relegation this year, bringing in players capable of supplying attacking impetus will be the #1 priority of Geißböcke personnel boss Christian Keller and his administrative team. Köln have scored only 12 goals in ten fixtures since the turn of the calendar year, failing to score a single goal in six of those games.
