Gladbach

Gladbach are still searching for their first win since beating Bayern Munich 3-2 on
February 18. After playing out a goalless draw with their rivals FC Koln last weekend, Daniel Farke’s side are now winless in five matches.

Die Fohlen head into the weekend in 10th position with seven points separating them from their opponents, who occupy ninth place. With eight games remaining, moving into the top half of the table may prove to be a tough task, but Farke will be challenging his players to finish the campaign with a positive run of results.

Gladbach will be confident that they can pick up at least a point on Sunday, having won two and drawn four of their last six Bundesliga games against Wolfsburg. Die Fohlen went close to claiming all three points in the reverse fixture after taking the lead on two occasions, ensuring for the second straight meeting between the two sides, the contest finished in a 2-2 draw.
Team News

Farke has confirmed that Jonas Hofmann is a doubt after missing training this week due to personal reasons. Yvandro Borges Sanches and Tony Jantschke remain sidelined, while Manu Koné is suspended due to an accumulation of yellow cards.

In more positive news, Julian Weigl could return from a spell on the sidelines to feature in the matchday squad.

Wolfsburg

Wolfsburg are unbeaten in five matches after they mounted a late fightback against Augsburg last weekend to salvage a point. Niko Kovac’s side looked to be heading towards defeat when Augsburg took a two-goal lead following a Maximilian Arnold own goal and a Mergim Berisha strike.

Luca Waldschmidt’s 83rd-minute effort gave die Wölfe a foothold before Felix Nmecha completed the comeback with an equaliser in the sixth minute of stoppage time. Although Wolfsburg would have been pleased with the 2-2 draw, the result extended their winless home run to five matches.

As a result, Wolfsburg may be happy to head on their travels on Sunday as they look to close the four-point gap to the top six.

Impressively, Niko Kovac’s side have lost just one of their last nine Bundesliga away games, while their last two away trips have both yielded victories.
Team News

Kovac has revealed that Lukas Nmecha is not expected to feature again this season due to injury. Bartol Franjic is also sidelined, while Ridle Baku and Patrick Wimmer are both suspended for Sunday's encounter.
