Leverkusen give injury updates on Frimpong, Kossounou and Andrich

Bayer Leverkusen bosses Simon Rolfes and Xabi Alonso gave injury updates on Jeremie Frimpong, Odilon Kossounou and Robert Andrich following last night's loss to Roma.
Bayer Leverkusen sporting director Simon Rolfes gave a brief injury update on Jeremie Frimpong following the club's 1-0 Europa League semifinal defeat to AS Roma on Thursday.

Despite picking up a few knocks, the Dutchman is fully expected to be in Leverkusen's squad for Sunday's Bundesliga clash with Stuttgart.

"He picked up a knock in the first half and another towards the end," Rolfes told RND.

"But with him, it is probably not that problematic."

As revealed by Bayer Leverkusen coach Xabi Alonso, things look more bleak for Odilon Kossounou (muscle) and Robert Andrich (foot).

"It doesn't look good for 'Odi'. He feels like he's got a torn hamstring. It's a shame for today and for next week.

"With Rob, we have to wait and see. There is a possibility that he has a serious injury. If we're lucky and he doesn't, he could fly to Stuttgart. Both will travel to Germany on Friday for further tests.

"He felt something in his left foot. We'll see how serious it is. Whether it's broken or just sore."
