Sport Bild Report: Dortmund may be willing to let Reyna go for as little as €20 million

Germany's "Sport Bild" tabloid published a detailed list of the transfer-fee-ranges Borussia Dortmund hope to pocket for four players they hope to shed over the summer transfer window.

After covering obvious sale candidates (Thomas Meunier, Thorgan Hazard, and Nico Schulz), the tabloid had something of interest with respect to a potential sale of U.S. international Giovanni Reyna.
Dortmund's list of so-called "scratch candidates" this summer isn't exactly a secret. The NRW powerhouse will obviously do everything in its power to get seldom used players such as Thomas Meunier, Thorgan Hazard, and Nico Schulz off the payroll. In a report published today, Germany's main sporting tabloid underlined the salaries of this trio and how much the BVB hopes to accrue from their sales.

According to "Sport Bild", Sebastian Kehl and the club's administrative team hope to pocket around €5 million for Meunier. An offer as low as €2 million will be entertained for Hazard. Schulz - as is common knowledge - will gladly be let go for free. Meunier (€9 million annually), Hazard (€5 million annually) and Schulz (€6 million annually) all draw exceedingly large salaries.

A transfer rumor emerging last week caught many German football watchers by surprise. Even if squad competition had kept American phenom Giovanni Reyna out of Edin Terzic's starting XI, there had hitherto been no insinuation that Dortmund were interested in selling one of their best performers off the bench this year.

The German tabloid claims that Kehl and staff will be willing to listen to offers in the €20 million range for Reyna. This counts as something of a surprise, considering that the 20-year-old maintains an estimated market worth of €28 million in the latest transfermarkt listings. The fact that the youngster recently dazzled in the CONCACAF Nations League Final.

One potential reason Dortmund may be considering lowball offers related to Reyna's injury history. This again reared its unfortunate head in yesterday's 2-0 victory over Canada. Reyna supplied the assist on both USMNT goals, but had to be subbed off with ankle problems at the half.
