"We’ve had two enjoyable, eventful years together and it’s been a successful time in every respect," said Wolfsburg managing director for sport Marcel Schäfer.
"Micky always showed full commitment to VfL Wolfsburg, worked hard and has developed outstandingly well. We wish him all the best going forward, both in his personal life and his career."
Micky van de Ven commented:
"Two fantastic years at a wonderful club have come to an end. In Wolfsburg, I was able to mature as a person and as a footballer, and take the next step in my career.
I will always have very fond memories of everything we experienced and achieved together, and I will really miss my teammates, the staff, the management and all employees. I will also miss our passionate fans, who always give everything for the club. I wish Wolfsburg all the best and every success for the new season, which I will be following from afar."
The 22-year-old centre-back joined Wolfsburg from Volendam in 2021. He featured 41 times for 'Die Wölfe', racking up a goal and three assists.
