Bayern extend with "dream team" of Neuer and Ulreich

FC Bayern München confirmed contract extensions for two of its net-minders on Tuesday afternoon. Both Manuel Neuer and Sven Ulreich have extended their contracts for another year.
Both Manuel Neuer and Sven Ulreich have signed on at FC Bayern München for another year. The club's #1 and #2 net minders sat on contracts set to expire at the end of the current season. The pair have each extended their current working papers by another season and are now under contract until the end of the 2024/25 campaign.

"Manuel Neuer and Sven Ulreich are simply a 'dream team'," FCB CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen noted in a statement accompanying the signings, "They support and motivate each other and exemplify the values that characterize FC Bayern. Sven Ulreich stood in for Manuel Neuer more than serviceably during his time out with injury and we know that we can rely on him. Since his comeback, Manuel Neuer has shown that he has lost none of his ability."

"Their sporting and personal qualities and their teamwork are exceptional," sporting director Christoph Freund added,"Manuel is our captain and has been the best goalkeeper in the world for many years. He has taken goalkeeping to a new level and is in the tradition of the great FC Bayern keepers such as Sepp Maier and Oliver Kahn. Sven has impressively demonstrated his class, not least during the last few months when Manuel was out of action."
