SV Darmstadt 98 have shed themselves of transfer bust Filip Stojilkovic. The newly promoted Bundesliga side confirmed a short-term loan-out back to the German second division for the 23-year-old Swiss striker early on Thursday evening. The one-time record transfer will get another chance to prove himself in the 2. Bundesliga.

Stojilkovic did score three goals in 15 appearances for Die Lilien in the second division last season. He nevertheless did not meet the standards of SV trainer Torsten Liberknecht during the current campaign, earning only sparse usage despite the fact that Darmstadt desperately needed assistance in attack.

"We wish Filip every success in Kaiserslautern," SVD's sporting director Carsten Wehlmann is quoted as saying on the Lilies' website. "We're keeping our fingers crossed that he gets plenty of match practice and can realise his full potential there."
