Stuttgart vs. Gladbach preview: VfB have a chance to finish second
Stuttgart
Stuttgart beat Augsburg last week after impressively securing four points against Leverkusen and Bayern. It’s been a fairytale season for a side that faced relegation in each of the past couple of years.
The big news this week is that five players were called up the Euros squad including Maximilian Mittelstädt, Deniz Undav, Waldemar Anton, Chris Führich and Alexander Nübel. The lineup should be fairly unchanged from Matchday 33 and again feature the newly-extended Leonidas Stergiou at right-back.
This week, Sporting Director Fabian Wohlgemuth said, “We are very pleased to be represented with such a number of players at the home European Championship. We'll keep our fingers crossed for our boys and, of course, the entire DFB team for a successful course of the European Championship.”

Nikolas Nartey, Dan-Axel Zagadou, Josha Vagnoman, Roberto Massimo and Lilian Egloff are out with injuries.
Gladbach
It’s been another lackluster season for the 13th-place side who officially avoided relegation with their third straight league draw last week. Many questions will be asked in the coming weeks about Gerardo Seoane’s job status and there should be a major player overhaul this summer.
Gladbach don’t have anything to play for other than pride this weekend with European football out of the question. They should continue with their 3-5-2 formation in which Joe Scally and Luca Netz advance forward on the wings.
In his presser, Seoane mentioned, “We're looking back on the season. It's been eventful. There have been injuries. We've scored a lot of goals and given minutes to young players, but there's obviously a lot of things to improve on. Otherwise, we wouldn't have been in this situation.”
Team News
Simon Walde, Grant-Leon Ranos and Tony Jantschke are out. Robin Hack and Franck Honorat are questionable, while Christoph Kramer and Max Wöber are doubtful.
