Denis Zakaria not considering leaving Gladbach: 'I only concentrate on Borussia'

Denis Zakaria has been linked with clubs such as Manchester United and Bayern München, but isn't currently thinking about leaving Gladbach.
Denis Zakaria has been linked with a move away from Borussia Mönchengladbach in the summer, with Manchester United and Bayern München said to be leading the race for the midfielder's signature.

However, according to Sport Bild, Zakaria isn't currently interested in leaving Borussia-Park at the end of the season.

Asked how he feels about the speculation linking him with some of Europe's biggest clubs, the Swiss international told Sport Bild:

"It spurs me on and gives me strength to improve further. The fact that other clubs are dealing with me shows that I perform well. But I only concentrate on Borussia. We can achieve great things this season."

Zakaria has seen his importance increase since Marco Rose was appointed Gladbach coach last summer and is extremely happy to be playing under the 43-year-old.

"We have a new playing style under him. One that is much more aggressive and has more speed. That's how I like to play. I love launching attacks immediately after winning the ball," Zakaria said.

Gladbach could increase their chances of keeping Zakaria beyond the summer by qualifying for the Champions League. 'Die Fohlen' are eager to tie the midfielder down to a new deal beyond 2022, but he's not in any hurry at the moment, as per Sport Bild.
