Hertha coach Bruno Labbadia gives update on the futures of Pekarik, Ibisevic and Grujic

Hertha coach Bruno Labbadia has commented on the futures of Peter Pekarik, Vedad Ibisevic and Marko Grujic, who are all due to leave the club this summer as things stand now.
Hertha BSC coach Bruno Labbadia says it's still up in the air if Peter Pekarik and Vedad Ibisevic will extend their contracts, which expire at the end of the season.

"That's still up for discussion. They have both been important for the phase that is now behind us. For Peter, it was a cold start. 'Vedo' was the leader we needed," Labbadia told Kicker and added that he's fully convinced that Ibisevic, 36, can keep playing at the highest level for another year or two:

"Definitely. He has showed that. He has never been injured in the last few years. When he's supported, he's good. And he won't forget the thing he does best - scoring goals."

Labbadia was also asked about the possibility of extending the loan spell of Marko Grujic, who has spent the last two seasons on loan at Hertha from Liverpool.

"The first question is whether it would be possible. The second question is: Does Marco fit in perfectly with our newcomer Lucas Tousart - or is there a better match? We still have to wait and see, but Marko is in our thoughts," the Hertha coach said.
