Hoffenheim to bring back Sebastian Rudy once more?

Sebastian Rudy is being linked with a return to Hoffenheim.
Hoffenheim are interested in bringing Sebastian Rudy back from Schalke 04, according to Bild.

Rudy played for Hoffenheim from 2010 from 2017 before moving on to Bayern München and then Schalke. The 30-year-old returned to Hoffenheim on loan for the 2019/20 campaign, and he is now being linked with a return to Rhein-Neckar-Arena once more.

Bild claims that Rudy has been identified as a transfer target by Hoffenheim coach Sebastian Hoeness and director of football Alexander Rosen as they look to add more experience to the squad.

Hoffenheim would prefer a new loan deal, but a permanent switch to Rhein-Neckar Arena is not entirely out of the question. However, with Rudy currently earning a reported €6 million per season, he would have to take a huge pay cut for a deal to happen.

Rudy started at right-back in Schalke 04's Bundesliga opener, which saw them suffer an embarrassing 8-0 defeat against Bayern München.
