Report: Mainz committed to offloading Ji Dong-Won

German footballing magazine Kicker reports that FSV Mainz 05 have no interest in retaining the services of South Korean international Ji Dong-Won.
Thirty-year-old Taeguk Warrior star Ji Dong-Won is due back in the Pfalz after a six-month-loan spell with relegated 2. Bundesliga side Eintracht Braunschweig. Germany's preeminent footballing publication nevertheless reports the the Rheinhessen do not wish to keep the former Augsburg forward on their roster.

Germany's Kicker notes that club execs Christian Heidel and Martin Schmidt are currently seeking a buyer for the attacker, who has made 123 appearances over parts of eight seasons in Germany's top flight. If a purchasing party cannot be found, the club may dissolve his current contract and allow him to depart on a free.

Kicker notes that Dong-Won is among Mainz's highest compensated current players and that the club has made a firm decision to get him off the payroll.
