Bobic rules out Hertha move for Kostic: "You can cancel that."

Speaking to Sky Germany on Saturday, Hertha BSC sporting CEO Fredi Bobic explicitly ruled out any pursuit of Filip Kostic.
As certain as one can be that transfer rumors involving Eintracht Frankfurt's Filip Kostic will persist right up until deadline day, one can be equally assured that that the star Serbian winger will not be following Fredi Bobic to Berlin. Some talk of it surfaced after it the scope of Hertha's recent sale of Jhon Cordoba to FK Krasnodar was revealed.

During a Saturday interview, former Frankfurt personnel boss made it clear that a potential €30 million purchase wasn't on the table.

"This personnel matter is, of course, always associated with my person," Bobic joked, "but you can cancel that."

The 49-year-old executive has had something of a busy media weekend already. On Friday, he spoke candidly about both incoming and outgoing transfers at his new club during a roundtable. Bobic disclosed that his "alte Dame" were currently weighing a purchase of Dutch winger Jurgen Ekkelenkamp.

In a rumored price range of €5-8 million, Ekkelenkamp would appear the more economical option.
