Werder boss speaks on Sargent's future amid exit links
There has been no concrete interest in Josh Sargent yet, according to Werder Bremen boss Clemens Fritz.
Werder Bremen head of first team football Clemens Fritz has responded to speculation linking Josh Sargent with a move away from the club.
"There have been loose inquiries, but nothing concrete," said Fritz at a press conference today and added:
"We can imagine that he will still score a few goals for us this season.
"I don't have the feeling that he wants to leave at all costs. But we also always have to think financially."
Leverkusen are among the clubs said to be interested in the 21-year-old U.S. international, who has been priced at €10 million, according to reports.
Sargent has scored two goals in two 2. Bundesliga games for Werder Bremen this season.
