Eberl provides injury updates on Lainer, Thuram and Plea

Borussia Mönchengladbach sporting director Max Eberl provided injury updates on Stefan Lainer, Marcus Thuram and Alassane Plea after the trio were forced off against Bayer Leverkusen.
Stefan Lainer suffered a suspected broken ankle as Borussia Mönchengladbach fell to a 4-0 defeat at the hands of Bayer Leverkusen on Saturday.

To make things worse for Gladbach, Marcus Thuram and Alassane Plea both picked up injuries as well.

"It looks like 'Stevie' Lainer may have broken his ankle, but he has to undergo examinations first. I thought it was a dangerous challenge. Marcus Thuram and Alassane Plea have both suffered knee injuries by the looks of it," said Gladbach sporting director Max Eberl after the game.

Gladbach centre-back Matthias Ginter was also forced to come off as he wasn't feeling well due to a cold.
