Official: Hoffenheim sign Tabakovic

TSG 1899 Hoffenheim have officially completed the deal to bring Haris Tabakovic to Kraichgau.

TSG 1899 Hoffenheim have completed their second major striker signing in the last seven days, effectively compensating for the loss of Wout Weghorst and the departure of Maximilian Beier by signing Bayer 04 Leverkusen's Adam Hlozek and now Hertha BSC's Haris Tabakovic. The 30-year-old Bosnia & Herzegovina international led the 2. Bundesliga in scoring last season, netting 22 goals for the capital city club in the second division.

Most all German footballing media sources report that Tabakovic cost Hoffenheim a base-transfer-fee of €3 million. An additional €2 million in performance-based bonuses are built into the deal. In his first year in Germany, Tabakovic scored a total of 25 goals and bagged nine assists in 39 appearances across all competitions for "die alte Dame" during the 2023/24 cycle. He's registered one assists in three appearances thus far this year.

"Haris is a photo-typical power forward with his size and penetrating power," interim TSG sporting director Frank Kramer noted in a statement accompanying the signing, "He's assembled a proven prowess for scoring at various stations in recent years. He's an experienced player and top-class professional. With his mentality, he can set the tone of a match."
