With Kasper Hjulmand's future uncertain and Fabian Hürzeler no longer available, Bayer Leverkusen's list of potential coaching options continues to grow.
Glasgow Rangers gaffer Danny Röhl is one of several names on the Rhinelanders' shortlist as the club explores potential coaching options for the summer, writes FußballTransfers.com.
The 37-year-old Zwickau native would be a particularly interesting appointment considering the has never managed a side across Germany's top three divisions.
For Sport BILD, however, if success is the sole focus, Oliver Glasner is considered the top choice. Leverkusen has already discussed him on several occasions.
Both sides know each other very well. The only concern for Bayer's management is that Glasner is not afraid of internal battles with the board in the best interests of the team.
The popular German tabloid has now added Míchel of FC Girona as a third candidate. The 50-year-old Spaniard will not be extending his expiring contract either.
Eredivise giants Ajax Amsterdam are also interested in the coach, but he reportedly prefers a transfer to a top club in either England or Germany's topflight.
Míchel was even a candidate to succeed Xabi Alonso last year, and talks took place at that time. Contact has reportedly never been broken off since then.
