After holding initial talks with Grischa Prömel, VfB Stuttgart have now made a “lucrative” offer to the 31-year-old TSG Hoffenheim midfielder and his agency, according to Sky Germany.

Determined to land the player on a free transfer, Stuttgart are hopeful that the offer will be enough to persuade Prömel, whose current deal expires in the summer.

However, with the club having set clear financial limits, there is no intention to significantly improve the current bid.

Other Bundesliga clubs, including Bayer Leverkusen, Eintracht Frankfurt and Wolfsburg, have also been linked with a move for Prömel.

Alternatively, the 31-year-old could choose to remain at Hoffenheim and sign a new deal, with talks expected to take place between the club, the player, and his management this week. A final decision is anticipated in March.
