Already linked with a move to RB Leipzig, former Heidenheim fullback/winger Jan-Niklas Beste also apparently plays a role in the January transfer plans of VfB Stuttgart. This is reported by George Moissidis, the Stuttgart correspondent for Germany's Kicker Magazine. Moissidis has further updates on the team to furnish in an article published on the magazine's website.

Moissidis notes that Stuttgart are no longer interested in procuring Hoffenheim's Jacob Bruun Larsen as an attacking reinforcement. Moissidis also claims that the VfB administrative team continue to work on acquiring Max Finkgräfe after terminating the loan arrangement of Bayern's Frans Krätzig early.
