Germany's main sporting tabloid reports that VfB Stuttgart are preparing their final offer in the complicated quest to acquire German national team striker Deniz Undav on a permanent basis. The "Sport Bild" newspaper claims that a €25 base-transfer-fee with plenty of add-on bonuses will constitute the absolute final offer from the Swabians. Given that Undav's parent club Brighton & Hove Albion are reportedly seeking a €30 million base-transfer-fee, it remains unclear as to whether this shall prove sufficient.
Stuttgart are known to be lining up alternatives to Undav should the talks collapse. France's preeminent footballing publication "L'Equipé" claims that Stade Rennes striker Arnaud Kalimuendo is on the club's radar. The former PSG academy man scored ten goals and contributed four assists in 30 Ligue 1 games last season and would cost around €20 million. Rennes paid that amount to acquire the 22-year-old from the French Champions two years ago. Kalimuendo waslinked with a move to Frankfurt not long ago.
In other transfer-related VfB news, transfer expert Nicolò Schira claims that the 2023/24 Bundesliga runners-up are preparing a concrete offer for Juventus FC central defender Dean Huijsen. The Spanish-Dutch center back maintains an estimated market worth of €10 million, yet is valued at two-to-three times that amount by his Serie A club. Schira wrote on social media platform X yesterday that Stuttgart are preparing a formal bid. Huijsen has also been loosely linked with Dortmund and Leverkusen.
