Leon Goretzka: "If Leverkusen slip again, we have to be there"

Leon Goretzka says all Bayern can do in the title race is to keep winning games and be ready if Bayer Leverkusen drop points.
Bayern Munich midfielder Leon Goretzka has refused to rule out the possibility of winning the Bundesliga title despite Bayer Leverkusen's comfortable lead at the top of the table.

Seven points clear of Bayern and with a game in hand, Die Werkself are on course for their first ever Bundesliga title.

But as Goretzka pointed out after Bayern's 8-1 win over Mainz on Saturday, it's not over yet, and all the Bavarians can do is keep winning.

"It was a very convincing win for us over 90 minutes. We played a very good and consistent game and finally scored a lot of goals. It's a lot more fun that way, of course."

"We kept our flow going today. If Leverkusen get shaky again, we have to be there," said the midfielder, who had two goals and an assist.
