Andrich takes swipe at Bayern: "Finally a good German champion"

In reaction to Bayer Leverkusen's first ever Bundesliga title on Sunday, Robert Andrich took a swip at Bayern by saying that there's "finally a good German champion".

After 11 Bundesliga championships in a row for Bayern Munich, Bayer Leverkusen have finally ended the run by winning their first Bundesliga title.

With a large glass of beer in his hand, Bayer Leverkusen's Robert Andrich was in high spirits after his team's 5-0 win over Werder Bremen secured the title on Sunday, and took a dig at Bayern.

"There's not only Bayern Munich, there's also Bayer Leverkusen," Andrich told DAZN.

"Now it's Bayer Leverkusen time, now there's finally a good German champion," he added.

The Bayer Leverkusen midfielder went on to indicate that the team would not hold back in their celebrations.

"Now we'll let the evening come to us - but I think it's going to be quite long," Andrich said.
