Rolfes reiterates desire to keep Tah amid Bayern links

Jonathan Tah has recently been linked with a move to Bayern Munich, but as Simon Rolfes has confirmed, Die Werkself are keen to keep hold of him.

Sky Germany recently reported that Bayern Munich have made contact with Bayer Leverkusen over the signing of Jonathan Tah.

With Tah's contract expiring in 2025, Leverkusen could be forced to sell if he isn't interested in signing a new deal.

However, the Bundesliga leaders remain hopeful of keeping hold of the centre-back for the long term.

"We want to keep Jonah and extend his contract beyond 2025," said the club's managing director for sport, Simon Rolfes, in an interview with Bild.

Talks between Leverkusen and Tah will take place after the season, with Rolfes stressing the importance of staying focused for now.

“The focus now is on achieving the maximum. And Jona thinks the same way,” he said.
