Tuchel gives Bayern squad update ahead of Union clash

Bayern Munich coach Thomas Tuchel has given an update on his squad ahead of the upcoming Bundesliga clash with Union Berlin.

Serge Gnabry and Leroy Sané are set to miss out when Bayern Munich face Union Berlin away from home on Saturday.

The priority for the Bavarians is to get the duo fit for the Champions League semi-final against Real Madrid.

“With Serge Gnabry, it's a race against time for the Real Madrid game. With Leroy Sane, it'll be a race against time for Frankfurt and Real. We probably won't take him to Berlin. It's unlikely,” Bayern coach Thomas Tuchel told reporters at a press conference on Friday.

“Apart from that, there's a few niggles, but we'll sit down with the physios and players this afternoon and see who's really pain-free. We're going to Berlin to fight and battle and win three points.”

Bayern go into the game in second place, level on points with third-placed Stuttgart.
