Xabi Alonso to join Bayern and not Liverpool if he leaves Leverkusen, claims Sky
Sky Germany is reporting that Xabi Alonso will join Bayern and not Liverpool if he leaves Bayer Leverkusen this summer.
Bayer Leverkusen coach Xabi Alonso has a tough decision to make at the end of the season.
Will he stay at Bayer Leverkusen, where he is currently working wonders, or will he join either Bayern Munich or Liverpool, who are both reportedly interested in him?
Sky Germany is now reporting that if the Spaniard does decide to leave Leverkusen, it will be for Bayern and not Liverpool.
"Bayern Munich are confident to sign him," reports Sky Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg.
"They are pushing for him. But there have been no negotiations. Talks have taken place. It is difficult to get him but Bayern are optimistic.
"Clubs like Liverpool, Real Madrid, want to sign him. But if he leaves Leverkusen in the summer, he will join Bayern Munich and not Liverpool."
