Hoffenheim are said to be showing interest in Mainz striker Jonathan Burkardt.
Kicker reports that Hoffenheim are interested in Jonathan Burkardt from Mainz.
However, per the German football publication, Die Kraichgauer only have a realistic chance of signing the striker if Mainz get relegated.
Mainz currently sit 16th in the Bundesliga table with eight games left to play this season.
Burkardt committed himself to a long-term contract until 2027 with the club in January.
Since returning from a long-term injury, the 23-year-old has scored four goals in 13 Bundesliga games for Mainz.
