Davies' agent: Bayern's ultimatum is "not fair"

There has been a new development in the contract talks between FC Bayern and Alphonso Davies following the latest comments from Davies' agent Nick Huoseh.
When Alphonso Davies broke into Bayern's first team and positioned himself as a world-class left back, many believed he'd stay in Munich for a very long time. But as of March 2024, there are little to no signs this relationship will continue for much longer.

FC Bayern has been in contract talks with Davies for up to a year now. His current contract runs out in June of 2025 - and Bayern don't want to let him go for free.

That's why "der Rekordmeister" have given Davies an ultimatum in the beginning of this week: Davies must decide until the end of next week whether to extend his contract until 2029 or not.

"Now we are being given an ultimatum and are supposed to react within two weeks because the club is under pressure and took a long time to reposition itself in the management? That's not fair", says Davies' agent, Nick Huoseh, in a BILD interview.

"It's a very important contract in Alphonso's career and we're supposed to make the decision without knowing who the coach will be next season or what the team looks like. That's why we think it's unfair to react to the ultimatum," comments Huoseh further.

Alphonso Davies has played 184 times for Bayern, scoring nine and assisting 28 goals. At the moment it seems unlikely for these numbers to increase much further - and maybe we will see the Canadian make the move from Munich to Madrid earlier than expected.
