Ralf Fährmann plans Schalke return

As things look now, Ralf Fährmann will head back to Schalke 04 when his loan deal with Norwich City runs out.
Ralf Fährmann currently expects to go back to Schalke 04 when his loan deal with Norwich City expires at the end of the season, says his agent.

The 30-year-old moved to England in the search for more first-team action after losing his spot in Schalke's line-up to Alexander Nübel.

However, Fährmann has just made a single appearance in the EFL Cup after joining Norwich, with Tim Krul being the preferred option in goal at the English Premier League club.

"He didn't know that he wasn't going to play, but the coach didn't give him a guarantee. He gets on well with Krul. Ralf is a very sociable person. But every player wants to play, of course," Fährmann's agent, Stefan Backs, told Fussballtransfers.

"Ralf will be going back to Schalke as things look now. Of course, you also have to wait and see what will happen with Alexander Nübel," he added.

Alexander Nübel's contract runs with Schalke out at the end of the season, and it's currently unclear if he will be staying at Veltins-Arena.
