As confirmed by Hoffenheim on Friday evening, Fisnik Asllani’s proposed move to RB Leipzig has fallen through, despite the deal having been close to completion for some time.
Everything had reportedly already been agreed between all parties, with the striker set to sign a contract with Leipzig until 2031. The agreement was also understood to include an exit clause worth €25 million.
However, the transfer has now collapsed due to medical concerns. Despite the advanced stage of negotiations, the issues ultimately prevented the deal from being completed.
Asllani will therefore remain with Hoffenheim for the upcoming Bundesliga season, having seen his proposed move to Leipzig fall apart at the final hurdle.
