Eintracht Frankfurt are no longer working on a winter move for Niclas Füllkrug, based on the latest Sky Germany transfer update.

The article suggests other Bundesliga sides remain interested including VfL Wolfsburg, as previously revealed.

Contrary to previous reports in late November, the ex-Werder Bremen and Borussia Dortmund man was being considered by the Hessen club.

In a way, the decision to pull out of a potential deal for the West Ham United striker makes sense after progressive talks elsewhere.

On Monday, 1 December, Sky also confirmed that Frankfurt had reached a verbal agreement with Newcastle United's Will Osula

With striker Jonathan Burkardt set to be sidelined until January at least, Osula could now be the frontrunner to lead the line up top.
