Report: Japanese national team midfielder due in Mainz for medical
Japanese sporting magazine Sponichi Annex reports that Mainz transfer target Kaishu Sano is headed to the Rheinland-Palatinate for a medical tomorrow after playing his final game for his Japanese club team today.

The rumored transfer of Japanese national team defensive midfielder Kaishu Sano to FSV Mainz 05 is reported to be almost through. Japanese sporting publication Sponichi Annex reports that the 23-year-old is headed to Mainz for a medical.
The Rheinhessen have finalized a not inexpensive deal to bring Sano to the Pfalz. The Japanese source reports that Mainz will fork over some €4 million to J-League club lKashima Antlers for the four-times-capped international's services.
