Niklas Stark infected with COVID-19

Niklas Stark has tested positive for coronavirus ahead of Hertha BSC's upcoming game against RB Leipzig.
Hertha BSC will be without Niklas Stark for their Bundesliga clash against RB Leipzig on Sunday.

The 26-year-old central defender has tested positive for COVID-19 and is self-isolating at home.

With Dedryck Boyata and Marton Dardai also sidelined, new signing Marc Oliver Kempf and 17-year-old Linus Gechter are Hertha's only fit centre-backs at the moment.

"These personnel issues have been a running theme for weeks. We aren't making a fuss though; we trust the players we have," said Hertha coach Tayfun Korkut at the pre-match press conference.

"Linus Gechter's performance last weekend made me sure that he'll play well alongside Marc Kempf.
