After the collapse of his move to Mallorca, U.S. journalist Tom Boggert claims that Bundesliga veteran John Anthony Brooks is set to join Julian Draxler at Benfica.

With the vast majority of administrative muscle at the Portuguese club likely tied up in the Julian Weigl outgoing and Julian Draxler incoming loans over the course of the day, it's entirely possible that Brooks' medical and final contract negotiations have been placed on tomorrow's docket.
Update, per source: John Brooks to Mallorca is OFF. After a verbal agreement and coming to Spain for a medical, Brooks has pulled out of the agreement.
