Fantasy Bundesliga tips: Matchday 21
Here are our Fantasy Bundesliga tips for Matchday 21.
In this Fantasy Bundesliga article, we will not be focusing on the most obvious premium options such as Jadon Sancho and Robert Lewandowski. Instead, we will take a look at the players who could offer great value as differentials for Matchday 21.
Goalkeepers:
As in previous weeks, Robin Zentner (Mainz, 1M) looks like the best choice in goal. Philipp Pentke (Hoffenheim, 1.1M) remains a low-price alternative as he's set to continue in goal against Freiburg while Oliver Baumann works on his recovery.
If you're willing to invest a little more in a goalkeeper, you could look at Timo Horn (FC Köln, 6.3M).
It's also worth noting that Rune Jarstein (Hertha BSC, 9.8M) and Yann Sommer (Gladbach, 11.4M) have picked up 25 points each over the last two matchdays.
Defenders:
Ismail Jakobs (FC Köln, 1.4M) was the second-highest scoring Fantasy defender last week and surely deserves a mention despite the fact that Köln face tough opposition from Gladbach this time around.
Christopher Lenz (Union Berlin, 2.3M) remains another solid low-price option.
Timothy Chandler (Frankfurt, 5.1M) should continue at the right-wing position and looks a bargain at just 5.1 million.
Bastian Oczipka (Schalke 04, 10.2M) might be worth bringing in, with Schalke having a nice run of fixtures coming up.
Finally, Stefan Lainer (Gladbach, 11.4M) looks like a good pick for Gladbach's home game against Köln.
Midfielders:
Amine Harit (Schalke 04, 9.4M) and Michael Gregoritsch (Schalke 04, 10.1M) both have the potential to score big for Schalke against Paderborn.
Jonas Hofmann (Gladbach, 9.4M) had an excellent game against RB Leipzig last week and should keep his place for Gladbach's home game with Köln. You could also look at his teammate Patrick Herrmann (Gladbach, 9.8M) who costs a little more.
Xaver Schlager (Wolfsburg, 9.9M) and Maximilian Arnold (Wolfsburg, 14.2M) are attractive options as well, with Wolfsburg taking on Fortuna Düsseldorf at home.
Marko Grujic (Hertha BSC, 11.6M) might not have had the most convincing start to 2020, but has previously shown he can be a valuable fantasy asset and could be a good potential for upcoming games.
Strikers:
Pascal Köpke (Hertha BSC, 1.4M) was arguably Hertha's best player in their 2-3 defeat to Schalke 04 in the DFB-Pokal on Tuesday that saw him score and set up a goal, and he might keep his place up top alongside Krzysztof Piatek (Hertha BSC, 12M), who is also a very attractive option this week.
You should also consider Daniel Ginczek (Wolfsburg, 8.5M) who will look to continue his good form against Fortuna Düsseldorf at home after netting a brace last week.
André Silva (Frankfurt, 10.6M) scored against RB Leipzig in the DFB-Pokal in midweek and is a viable option, provided he starts against Augsburg.
We obviously also have to mention Erling Haaland (Dortmund, 13M) who simply seems unstoppable at the moment despite the fact that he has only started once. It's unclear if he will be in the line-up this time as well, with BVB coach Lucien Favre saying at the pre-match press conference that he will remain careful not to rush Erling Haaland into the team.
