Borussia Dortmund coach Lucien Favre says he will remain careful not to rush Erling Haaland into the team.

Haaland has scored eight goals in his first four games for Dortmund despite starting just once so far. And Favre wants to remain careful with the 19-year-old.

"I'd like to let him play all games. But we have to be careful and reasonable. We're keeping a close eye on his physical condition, and we must take that into account," Favre said at the press conference ahead of Dortmund's Bundesliga clash with Bayer Leverkusen on Saturday.

Asked how is planning to replace BVB captain Marco Reus, who has been ruled out for four weeks, Favre revealed that 17-year-old Giovanni Reyna is a possibility for the starting eleven after impressing in 2020 so far.

"There are several options. It also depends on our system. Everything is open.

"It's possible that [Reyna] will be in the line-up on Saturday. You see what he's capable of in training every day. He's very intelligent and can play in many different positions," Favre said.
