Report: Dortmund among many clubs interested in North Macedonia's Eljif Elmas

Online magazine The Athletic reports that Borussia Dortmund are the main German club scouting North Macedonian prospect Eljif Elmas during this summer's Euros.
Twenty-one-year old Napoli professional Elif Elmas remains a player deserving of a nice long look during this summer's European Championship. Football enthusiasts everywhere are keeping a close eye on the youngster as he competes for his country in North Macedonia's first major international. Online magazine The Athletic notes that several clubs are too.

According to the online magazine, Leeds United and Benfica Lisbon have been keeping close tabs on Elmas for over a year. So too has Michael Zorc and the BVB scouting team. Elmas himself did rack up four tallies across all competitions for S.S.C. Napoli this year, but only appeared as a substitute in 30 of his 33 league appearances.

Elmas scored the winning goal in North Macedonia's shock defeat of Germany during a March World Cup qualifier. He remains under contract with the Serie A club until 2025 and carries a market value of €17 million in the latest transfermarkt listings.
