João Palhinha sustained a knock to his left shin after a challenge by Kim Min-Jae during Bayern Munich's training session today.

The Portuguese midfielder went down in pain and received treatment, Kim immediately went over to him and apologised.

Palhinha was able to play through the pain barrier, even though his shin had swollen considerably from the challenge.

He then cycled back from training to the Bayern team's hotel with medical tape bandaged around the wound.

On first appearance, the injury doesn't seem serious, but it will come as some slight concern for the Bavarian giants.

Palhinha has been a candidate for sale for the German record champions, with Vincent Kompany having no use for the midfielder.

Several clubs have taken interest in the 31-year-old, with the likes of Aston Villa reportedly pursuing a deal
