Bayern chief insists there is “no time pressure” over Olise extension

Christoph Freund insists Bayern Munich are in no rush to extend Michael Olise’s contract beyond 2029.

According to reports, Bayern Munich have already held initial exploratory talks over a long-term contract extension for star attacker Michael Olise.

However, with the Frenchman’s current deal running until 2029, Bayern sporting director Christoph Freund insists the German champions are under no pressure to reach an agreement quickly.

“He is under contract until 2029, so there is no pressure. He feels extremely comfortable at FC Bayern, and we are always in contact with him. As I said, there is no time pressure,” Freund told Sky Germany.

“Michael has made incredible progress with us and is currently one of the best players in the world. We are extremely happy that he plays for us.”

Real Madrid were linked with a move for Olise over the summer, but Bayern repeatedly made it clear that the French international wasn't for sale.
