It has been no secret for some time that FC Bayern are keen to move on João Palhinha, Sacha Boey and Bryan Zaragoza, with the trio seemingly no longer part of Vincent Kompany’s plans for the new season.

Speaking to Abendzeitung, Bayern president Herbert Hainer expressed his confidence that there will be movement regarding the three players before the transfer window closes:

“We still have three weeks. There’s interest from a number of clubs. There’s a lot of hard bargaining going on. But I’m confident that we’ll see some movement.”

Palhinha has attracted interest from Premier League duo Aston Villa and Newcastle United, while Boey has reportedly emerged as a target for Galatasaray. Zaragoza, meanwhile, is waiting for offers from Spain as he looks to return to his homeland.

Hainer also addressed the possibility of contract extensions for CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen and sporting director Max Eberl, with the matter set to be discussed at the next Supervisory Board meeting later this month.

Asked about the pair’s futures, Hainer said:

“We are very satisfied with the work of the executive board. Hopefully, that will also be reflected in the decisions that are made.”
