Eintracht Frankfurt

Eintracht Frankfurt will look to stop the Bundesliga rot this year as they've won only one single game in 2026 despite positive results against Dortmund and a narrow defeat to Bayern Munich.

The Eagles (“Adler”) now have a full focus on the league after exiting the Champions League in the league phase earlier this year and also being knocked out of the DFB Pokal in 2025.

As another trophy-less season is on the horizon, Frankfurt will hope at least that they can clinch some sort of European football under the new coach Albert Ribera who joined a month and a half ago.

Freiburg

For Freiburg, they are once again solidifying their place in Europe for another season in a row.

However, this season they haven't had to rely as heavily on star man Vincenzo Grifo as Igor Matanović has impressed with six goals in the league already.

This game promises to be an early six-pointer between 7th and 8th in the Bundesliga with the backdrop of the UEFA Coefficient up in the air as to whether Germany will get an extra European spot.

The confirmed lineups for the game are below.

Eintracht Frankfurt (4-1-4-1):

Santos - Collins, Amenda, Koch, Brown - Kalimuendo, Götze, Larsson, Höjlund, Bahoya - Burkhardt

Freiburg (4-2-3-1):

Atubolu - Treu, Ginter, Ogbus, Günter - Eggestein, Osterhage - Suzuki, Höler, Grifo - Matanović
