According to FussballTransfers (FT), FC Augsburg’s Chrislain Matsima reached a total agreement with Crystal Palace regarding a summer transfer. Talks between the Premier League club and FC Augsburg are also at an advanced stage, according to the report.

The UEFA Conference League winners are about to transfer former Wolfsburg center-back Maxence Lacroix to Chelsea in exchange for a transfer fee of over €60 million. Accordingly, the new coach Pierre Sage wants an immediate replacement for the French international.

The 24-year-old has played 48 times in Bundesliga since his transfer from AS Monaco a couple of summers ago. With Jeffrey Gouweleeuw and Keven Schlotterbeck absent for the most part due to injuries and suspension, the former French youth international played a key role as Augsburg enjoyed one of their best Bundesliga campaigns to date.

With the contract of the Frenchman running until 2030, Augsburg will expect a transfer fee that could rival the club record departure of Abdul Rahman Baba to Chelsea a decade ago for €26 million.
