Bayern Munich have long been linked with a move for Florian Wirtz, and reports have suggested that the Bavarians could make a summer move for the Bayer Leverkusen star.

Bayern's honorary president Uli Hoeness has now added to the speculation by saying it's his "dream" to see Wirtz at the Säbener Strasse.

Wirtz links up well with Jamal Musiala for Germany, and Bayern Hoeness would like to see the pair play together at club level too.

"If Florian Wirtz were to play for Bayern alongside Musiala, we could look to the future with even greater peace of mind," Hoeness told T-online.

“He's certainly a player we shouldn't lose sight of. You can still dream. If I could have a dream, I would say that Florian Wirtz has to go to FC Bayern. But that's just my personal opinion.”

Wirtz's contract with Leverkusen runs until 2027 and he's reportedly in advanced talks with the club over a possible extension.
