When Harry Kane joined Bayern Munich from Tottenham in the summer of 2023 on a four-year deal, a release clause was included in his contract, according to Sport Bild.

However, in order for the clause to be active in the summer of 2025, Kane would have had to trigger it in January.

Had he done so, he would have been able to leave for around €80 million at the end of the season, according to the report.

The 31-year-old striker will face a similar decision in January next year. If he chooses to exercise his release clause, it will be active in the summer of 2026 and be worth around €65 million.

For the time being, however, it doesn't appear as if Bayern have anything to worry about, with the report claiming that Kane hasn't considered activating the clause at any point this season.

Kane has scored 70 goals in 72 appearances for Bayern in all competitions.
