There has been considerable speculation about the future of 16-year-old Hertha BSC wonderkid Kennet Eichhorn, who has been linked with a number of top clubs.

Now, it appears a decision has been made, with Sky Germany reporting that Bayer Leverkusen have won the race to sign the teenager.

The German outlet claims that Eichhorn has given the green light for a move to Die Werkself and has turned down all other suitors.

If everything goes according to plan, the 16-year-old will sign a contract until 2031 with Leverkusen, who will trigger his reported €8-9 million release clause.

Despite his young age, Eichhorn has already made 19 appearances for Hertha.
